Providing we have the item in stock, dispatch is normally 3 - 5 business days (Monday to Friday) from the date we received the order, very often much sooner. As most orders are sent via the Post Office, under normal circumstances deliveries within the UK should be expected 4 -7 business days thereafter, depending on the size/weight, time of the year and your location, but please allow 28 days. As a general rule, heavy parcels do take a day or so longer than packets. Please note that we cannot guarantee a delivery date for items sent by recorded delivery. You will be notified automatically by email as soon as your order has been loaded onto our transport for delivery to the Post Office. However, if you receive an automatic dispatch confirmation on a Saturday or Sunday, it will not actually be delivered to the Post Office until the following Monday, or Tuesday in the case of Monday being a Bank Holiday. Also, if you receive a dispatch confirmation e-mail after 3.30pm Monday - Friday it may not be delivered to the Post Office untill the following morning. Once we have sent you a notice of dispatch the order cannot be cancelled. On receipt, should you wish to return the goods to us, please see the details in our Returns Policy & Terms & Conditions.
Please ensure that there is someone available to receive your order as a signature may be required. For this reason you do have an option to send your parcel to an alternative address.
If you do not receive your order within 14 days of receiving confirmation of dispatch, please inform us and we will do our best to locate it. If an item ordered is out of stock, and not expected to be back in stock within fourteen business days, we will notify you. In the event of an item ordered being out of stock for any reason, we will dispatch the rest of your order immediately and send the remaining items as soon as possible. You will not be charged again for carriage. You will be automatically sent a further dispatch confirmation email when the remainder of your order is dispatched. You may cancel the remainder of the order at any time prior to receiving this confirmation. You can not cancel the order thereafter.
We will keep you informed, and contact you if we are aware of any reason for a delivery to take longer than expected, other than situations that are out of our control and nationally reported/advertised in advance in the media, such as industrial action or flood. Under these circumstances it will be assumed that the customer has placed the order knowing of the possibility of the delivery being delayed.
On occasions, customers contact us after 14 working days to say that they have not yet received the goods. The reason for this, except for one occasion, has been that nobody has been at the delivery address when various attempts to deliver the parcel have been made. As a result of this the item has been held for collection by the customer at the local sorting office for a 14 day period, after which it has been returned to us marked 'not called for'. Please check first with your local Post Office and your neighbours, as we have only ever had two parcels 'lost in the post'. For this reason a parcel will only be considered lost after a period of 28 days when a full refund will be issued.
We hope this has been of help to you. For further details please see Delivery Information in our Terms & Conditions or if you have any other queries whatsoever please do not hesitate to contact us.
We realise that security is probably one of the most significant concerns for the shopper during an online transaction. That's why we chose WorldPay which is part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group. In reality, an online transaction using WorldPay is probably more secure than a card transaction in a shop or conducted over the telephone, as your card information transmitted to WorldPay online is very strongly encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations. All of your sensitive card account details are transmitted direct to WorldPay, not to us. Within seconds of placing an order WorldPay sends an e-mail to both you and us confirming payment.
The WorldPay payment system uses a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Furthermore, their public web servers are certified by Thawte, a public Certificate Authority, ensuring that the shopper can have confidence that nobody can impersonate WorldPay to obtain confidential information.
Therefore, you can buy on line with confidence knowing that WorldPay is part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
Postage & Packing is worked out depending on what items you order. Using our own specialist system, your posting & packing charges are worked out on weight and size, and where you are shipping to. Depending on the destination we may incorporate a ceiling figure, so you will only pay a maximum price regardless of however much you order. Regardless, as most of our goods are sent via the post, the more items ordered, the cheaper the 'per item' carriage charge becomes.
Some items maybe available within the UK as free postage & packing, this is clearly indicated. Please note that free postage and packing does not apply to orders dispatched to international destinations, where an extra carriage charge will be made. Please email us prior to placing your order and we will notify you of the extra charge.
Our aim is to be absolutely transparent - Please note that the collective/total postage is clearly displayed on the order summary page before you are asked to enter any of your details whatsoever, or for payment. Therefore, you can see the breakdown of the total cost of the goods, the postage & packing charge and the VAT if applicable, without any commitment whatsoever prior to placing an order.
Yes, a European Community ruling states that goods worth less than £18 imported into the EC will not attract VAT. Therefore, if the total value of the goods at checkout amounts to £17.99 or less, the goods will not attract VAT.
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
If a postman/courier has been unable to deliver your order to the delivery address that you have given, a second attempt may be made or a card may be left advising you to collect it from your local sorting office/depot. If you do not collect it, after a period of time it will be returned to us. Therefore, please ensure that both the delivery address and contact telephone number that you have given is correct and there will be someone available at the delivery address to sign for it. It may be returned to us for any one of the following reasons:
If an order is returned to us for any of the above mentioned reasons we will immediately issue a refund for the value of the goods to your same card account and advise you accordingly. The packing & postage charge is not refundable. For your convenience we offer an alternate delivery address option.
If for any reason the goods are not suitable, contact us and we will send you a Returns Form. Simply send the package back to SimplyLivingJersey together with the Returns Form duly completed, and on receipt we will issue a refund as long as the goods are returned undamaged and in the original packing, as set out in our Returns Policy which you will find in our Terms & Conditions at the bottom of the page. The postage and packing charge is not refundable and we do not refund return postage on unsuitable items or cancelled orders. Likewise, if the goods are returned to us by the Royal Mail or any other carrier because an error has been made by the customer (eg. wrong delivery address given, nobody at home and not collected etc.) we will issue a full refund excluding the cost of the packing and postage/carriage.
Please ensure that the delivery address and contact telephone number is correct prior to submitting.
Use the 'simply from' price window at the top right hand side of the page, and select your location in the Channel Isles. All of the prices will then be shown as VAT free.
